Founded in 1989, Xinjiang Tumor Hospital is a 3A-grade specialized cancer hospital in Xinjiang Uygur autonomous region that integrates medical treatment, teaching, scientific research, and prevention and treatment.
The hospital covers 92,500 square meters, with a building area of 174,800 sq m. Its fixed assets are worth 1.02 billion yuan ($1.44 million). It has 1,650 patient beds, 35 clinical departments, 15 medical technology departments and 37 functional units. It has 2,215 employees, among whom 251 are senior professional technicians, 587 have master’s degrees or above, 17 are doctoral supervisors, 65 are master’s supervisors, and seven experts enjoy a special allowance from the State Council.
In 2018, 393,000 outpatient visits were recorded, 72,200 were discharged from the hospital, and more than 11,000 operations were performed.
To continuously improve the quality of medical services, the hospital has invested nearly 300 million yuan in purchasing advanced medical diagnosis and treatment equipment, including 12 high-end color doppler ultrasound machines, a full digital gastrointestinal machine, a Philips CR, a Philips digital X-ray system (DR), a breast molybdenum palladium machine, a Philips large aperture CT (for radiotherapy localization), a Philips multilayer spiral CT, a Siemens SPECT/CT, Philips ECT, a GE 1.5T double gradient nuclear magnetic resonance, an electronic endoscope, thoracoscope and hysteroscope, an automatic biochemical analyzer, and an automatic blood cell analyzer.
