Little soccer lover with a big dream
“I want to become a soccer player like him when I grow up,” says 12-year-old Yikesan, as he points to a poster of Cristiano Ronaldo, his favorite soccer player, on the wall of his room. The sixth grader from the Xinjiang Uygur autonomous region often plays soccer with his dad. Soccer enjoys great popularity among locals and Xinjiang's under-20 men's soccer team won silver at China's National Games held in September.
