Yotkan carries a history of 13 centuries and was once the capital of the Buddhist kingdom of Yutian. By renovating the city with ancient architecture and organizing cultural events, it aims to raise awareness of its ancient culture and promote tourism.

The attraction has old castles, a food street, a jade block, a folk customs street, bars, bed-and-breakfasts and cultural exhibition halls. At night, a light show and performance of dancing and singing tell the history of the city.
